Fairgrounds

The Worth County Fairgrounds sits on 19 acres of land on the Northwest side of Northwood, IA. Here, visitors will find a variety of amenities to utilize the grounds year-round.

Within fairgrounds is a 1 mile paved walking trail that leads visitors through an arboretum with over 50 different tree species and a butterfly garden installed by the Green Thumb Garden Club. The trail also leads to a gazebo, playground, water feature, fitness equipment and a tour of statues representing each of the towns in Worth County.

The fairgrounds also consists of 24 camper sites, which are available to rent May through September – including the week of the fair. All sites include access to water and electric.

The fair office building includes a community room, extension offices and an underground storm shelter which spans half of a city block – ensuring visitors and campers safety during seasonal storms.
