Bacon Buddies
The Bacon Buddies® program, developed by the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA), helps those Special Olympians experience acceptance by working with 4-H and FFA mentors. Participants also gain the opportunity to talk to a livestock judge in a public setting, and earn a blue ribbon for their efforts. Bacon Buddies will take place Friday, June 20 at 2 pm, following the 4-H swine show.
Worth County Fair Queen Contest
Queen candidates, this is your chance showcase your poise, character, build friendships and represent Worth County at the Iowa State Fair in August! Ladies 16-21 living in Worth County (or an adjoining county with a majority of activities in Worth County) are welcome to apply. You do not need to be part of Worth County 4-H to qualify. Entry form, questionnaire, contest rules, and guardian consent form can be downloaded below. To enter, complete all three forms and submit to with a a recent photo (4×6 or smaller) by June 2, 2025. Judging will take place June 8, 2025 at 1pm in the Worth County Community Room.

Open Class Exhibits
All Worth County residents are welcome and encouraged to enter exhibits in the Worth County Fair’s open classes. A full list of our open and floral classes can be downloaded below. Entries will be displayed throughout the fair in the Open Class area of the 4-H Exhibit Building or the Floral Hall.
Baby Contest
Do you know a baby with the chubbiest cheeks, prettiest eyes, or most hair? Of course you do! Bring that adorable little one to the baby contest for their chance to shine. Babies will be divided into 6-12 month and 12-18 month age groups. Either the baby or grandparent/’adoptive’ grandparent must live in Worth County. Registration is the day of the event, and full details can be downloaded below.
Food & Commercial Vendors
Serve our guests or promote your business at the Worth County Fair! The Worth County Fair Board will review each vendor application and confirm its acceptance or rejection based on availability and diversity of goods/services/food offered to our guests.
Hoofprints Open Fun Show
Join the Hoofprints 4-H club for an open fun show Sunday, June 22! Entries open at 9 AM, Show begins at 9:30 AM. All Games, no judged events this year. Entry fee is just $25 for the day (per horse/rider combo) or $5 per class.
